Harvest Festival

An invitation to all volunteers to join us this Saturday from 1:00pm to 6:00pm at the Four Seasons City Farm Freedom Festival: A Harvest Celebration. The festival will take place at the Garden of New Freedom, located at the intersection of Mound and Carpenter. Festivities will include: a delicious lunch provided by Katzinger's Delicatessen, Betty's Fine Food and Spirits, Tip Top Cafe, Surly Girl Saloon, Trattoria Roma, and Basi Italia; performances by local musicians; crafts, games, and pumpkins for kids; and more.

A flyer with additional details is attached to this email.

Also, to all festival and garden volunteers, a Festival Planning Committee meeting will take place this Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at Old First Presbyterian Church (Bryden and Ohio Ave.). We would like to finalize the list of participating organizations and bands, as well as a schedule of events, so if you have contacted or are a part of a band, community organization or other group which is participating, please send Lindsey Watson (lwatsonster@gmail.com) the following info by Wednesday if possible, or bring it to the planning meeting.

    Group Name/Details About (for schedule)
    Group Contact Info
    Information Table, Performer, or Other?
Special supplies needed? (such as tables, chairs, other equipment)

We would VERY much welcome volunteers Wednesday evening (anytime) to help distribute flyers about the Harvest Festival to the near-eastside community.  Please stop by Old First Church between 4:30 and 7:00 p.m. and help with the planning, flyering or pick up a few flyers to distribute to your neighbors.

Hope to see you at the Harvest Celebration Saturday!

Karen.
